BERLYN (Berlyn Broadhead) is a country singer-songwriter from Slave Lake, Alberta, whose love for 90s country and small-town life shines through in every song. Growing up in the country, she found herself drawn to the sounds of classic country music such as Keith Whitley and George Strait. Her most recent song You and Me (2024) co-written by Lindsay Ell and Troy Kolkol is a sweet reminder on how some things are meant to last. Before then she released (single) Save Us (2023), (album) Rhinestone Cowgirl (2022), and her debut album, I Play Country Music, (2021). Grounded in her redneck upbringing, Berlyn’s music is a true reflection of who she is, down-to-earth, a little rough around the edges, and deeply connected to her roots. “My songs are snapshots of country life, sharing stories of love, heartbreak, and hard work, all from a farm girl’s perspective,” says Berlyn. “I bring that same energy to the stage, where every performance and connection with the audience brings me closer to the vision of leaving a mark on country music with raw grit and heart.”
Over the years, Berlyn has graced stages at iconic events like Big Valley Jamboree(2022), the Canadian Finals Rodeo (CFR 2024), and Professional Bull Riders (PBR 2023). Highlights include opening for Joe Nichols and Drake Milligan (2024), winning the 2023 Country Music Alberta Youth Horizon Award, and being nominated for a 2024 Nashville Josie Music Award for Music Video Of The Year.
